Graham Colbourne – workshop for professionals at the Lodz Gestalt School
From February 28 to March 2, the Lodz Gestalt School hosted a specialized workshop for experienced therapists led by Graham Colbourne: “Embodied Relational Process and Creative Experimentation.” It was an intense and deep work that allowed participants to deepen their understanding of the therapeutic process through the body, movement and relationship.
During the workshop we combined theory and practice – there were lectures, demonstration sessions and group work. Using Daniel Stern’s concept of the emergent Self, we looked at developmental situations – both deficits and available opportunities. We also drew on Ruella Frank’ s framework of six body movements, exploring how rigidity of energy manifests in the body – both in therapy and in supervision.
But this workshop is not just theory – it’s a living experience. We learned, we danced, we laughed, we held each other, we explored in every therapeutic dimension possible. Particularly moving was the work around male power and its role in relationships, which opened a space for deep reflection and transformative experiences.
Every participant took away something for themselves from this workshop – a new perspective, tools, experience. And the translation? It was absolutely masterful! Tom Rylko – thank you for your professionalism and sensitivity! 👏
