An experienced psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer at the Gestalt Psychotherapy Training Institute (GPTI), he has completed a degree in clinical supervision at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute as well as Studies in Gestalt Psychotherapy and Postgraduate Studies in Youth and Community Work. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. He is a therapist affiliated with UKCP.

For many years he was a coach in Birmingham, York and Scotland. Co-director of York Psychotherapy Training Centre and and Edinburgh Gestalt Center. Trainer of supervisors in England and Scotland. He supervises trainees and accredited therapists from various modalities in individual and group settings. As a therapist, he provides individual and group therapy, as well as short- and long-term couples therapy. He was an examiner at GPTI and GITA and chairman of GPTI’s Ethics Committee and also a member of the Ethics Committee GPTI training standards.
