Specialized Gestalt Workshop: Field Theory for Experienced Therapists

Gestalt professionals are invited to explore the theory and practice of field concepts in the Gestalt movement.

The specialized workshop is dedicated to:

• Certified Gestalt psychotherapists and trainers
• Certified psychotherapists and trainers of Schools of Psychotherapy of other modalities

How do we apply field theory in our therapeutic work? What does it mean and how does it feel to work in the field paradigm? How does this approach differ from the individualistic approach in Gestalt therapy practice? These and many other questions will be discussed during our workshop. Here are some of the topics covered:

• Field theory – from physics to psychotherapy (Latner and Yontef, Lewin)
• Using philosophical principles in psychotherapy. Emerging from “Babylonian confusion” (Stammler).
• Field resonance in embodiment
• Phenomenological field – “I am part of who you are, and you are part of who I am, but we can all be wrong” (Philippson). How can my phenomenological field contact your phenomenological field?
• Connections between parts of the field create a sense of field (Ryle)
• The field paradigm in the therapeutic context: presence without judgment (epoche), “borrowing the body”, working with meanings, supporting the flow of emergent dynamics (poiesis), aesthetic perception of the field (Francesetti)
• “Activity principle” in Gestalt theory(Philippson)

Join us in this exploration to deepen your theoretical and practical awareness, co-creating together a fertile field of possibilities. The workshop is led by Lena Grigorieva, who has been applying field theory to her Gestalt therapeutic work for over 10 years.

Gestalt Workshop: Field Theory for Experienced Therapists – about the presenter:

Lena Grigorieva is an experienced Gestalt psychotherapist, a forced migrant from Belarus, currently living in Poland and working as a trainer at the Lodz Gestalt School since its foundation. Lena is active internationally, serving as a member of the Human Rights and Social Responsibility Committee at EAGT and the Regional Development and Human Rights and Social Responsibility Committees at IAAGT. Lena is the director of New Gestalt Voices, organizing and participating in international Gestalt programs in various parts of Europe. Previously, she was co-owner of the Minsk Gestalt Institute for over 10 years, running a wide range of training programs.
