General description of the workshop – psychopharmacotherapy:

The practice of using psychotropic drugs, known as psychopharmacotherapy, is a method of treating mental disorders. These drugs affect the central nervous system, producing a therapeutic effect on the mental state. Psychopharmacotherapy is implemented to alleviate symptoms associated with mental disorders, resolve the disorders themselves or prevent future relapses. The workshop will familiarize you with the knowledge of specific drugs used for different types of disorders. You will learn about the most commonly used groups of psychotropic drugs in people who are in psychotherapy and gain knowledge about their effectiveness, but also about side effects when using them.
