Description: Consultation webinar on “Psychological practice in Poland: legalization issues and more”. The consultations will be conducted by experienced lawyers from the Polish firm Phoenix Consulting, supported by the Lodz Gestalt School, which specializes in legalizing the stay of citizens in Poland. The rationale for the meeting stems from frequent requests from clients of the Lodz Gestalt School who have moved to Poland from other countries and do not have the bonuses available to Ukrainian citizens in the legalization process. The presenters will introduce the basic principles and requirements of the legalization issue, and then participants will be able to ask questions and receive advice with practical recommendations.

Description: In the “self” theory of Gestalt therapy, the self and the other take their form in the act of contacting each other, rather than in the pre-existing self, which then makes contact. While theories of the pre-existing self must show how such a self can change, in Gestalt theory, change is always available, and the question is how we maintain a sense of personal continuity – and when that continuity becomes problematic, leaving us acting in familiar and painful ways. This workshop will introduce the theory and practice of working with clients based on this understanding. There will be time for personal work, discussion and skill practice.
