Opening of the Study of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy

We invite you to participate in our new 15-month training program dedicated to those who want to develop their therapeutic skills in working with children and adolescents. This is an excellent opportunity to gain specialized knowledge and experience in the Gestalt current.

Today’s children and young people face many challenges, living in a world full of uncertainty and dynamic change. Our training aims to equip therapists with the tools they need to effectively support young people during these difficult times.

Objectives of the Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Study:

Our training focuses on three key areas:

  1. Understanding the psychosocial development of children and adolescents:
Learning about the specific developmental stages that shape young people at different stages of their lives.
  2. Knowledge of psychopathology:
Recognize and understand the characteristic symptoms and types of suffering that young patients may face.
  3. Methods of therapeutic work in the Gestalt current:
Use of techniques and methods of work based on Gestalt assumptions, taking into account the philosophical and theoretical foundations of this approach.

Our study offers a program based on the latest research in developmental psychology, psychopathology and neuroscience. We take into account the individual, social and cultural context, working with both children, adolescents and their families.

SPDiM programe:

The program consists of:

  • 8 on-site training seminars (20 hours each): Friday: 15:00 – 19:00, Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 – 15:00.
  • 7 online superintelligence sessions (5 hours each): Thursday: 3:00 – 7:00 pm.

In total, the program includes 195 training hours. The seminars are held at the Lodz Gestalt School and include lectures, practical exercises, exploration of one’s own experiences and super-visionary elements. Online sessions are used to exchange experiences, consult and supplement knowledge through lectures by experts.

In the first year of training (4 in-person and 4 online meetings), participants will learn the basics of Gestalt therapy in working with children and adolescents. The second year is an advanced level with an emphasis on psychopathology.

The program concludes with a certificate of participation issued by the Lodz Gestalt School, an associate member of EAGT.

The opening of the Study of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy is a special opportunity to become part of an international community of professionals and gain the skills necessary to work with young patients in the Gestalt movement!
