Joanna Sawicz: “Working with the body” – after the workshop
Traffic. Contact. Life.
Movement begins with the smallest impulses.
From micro-movement. Breathing. The gentle moving of the diaphragm and lungs.
From reaching, taking, and giving.
From touching – being touched, being touched, and touching another person.
From the vibration of sound that becomes a sensation in the body.
In movement, we contact ourselves with ourselves and with other people.
Movement allows us to feel boundaries, presence and flow. Contact – if attentive and alive – nourishes and revitalizes, bringing us back to the experience of being in relationship with ourselves and the world.
The 2nd edition of the workshop “I RUSH FOR LIFE – LIFE IN CONNECTION” was a space where the body became a starting point for meeting: with one’s own impulses, emotions and with another person. A space of process – growing, changing and flowing.
According to Joanna Sawicz, the workshop leader:
“Thank you for being able to witness the developing, changing and flowing contact. I was moved and touched as your hearts opened more and more freely to each other. Watching you has given me great joy.”
Joanna Sawicz: “Working with the body”. – About the presenter:
Joanna Sawicz is a Gestalt psychotherapist, trainer and supervisor, a member of the Lodz Gestalt Psychotherapy School team. In her work, she combines a psychotherapeutic perspective with deep attentiveness to the body, movement and the process of contact.
Body work holds a special place in her approach – not as a technique, but as a way of being in relationship with experience. Asia accompanies participants in discovering how, through movement, breath and bodily awareness, one can regain contact with oneself, regulate tensions and build more authentic relationships with others.
Her working style is based on presence, respect for the individual pace and trust in the wisdom of the body and the group process.

We thank all the participants for their presence, courage and willingness to be in motion and in touch. Such meetings remind us that life happens in the body – and between us.
