🌿 Another moving edition of Margaret Cynker’s workshop is behind us
This past weekend marked the 3rd edition of the workshop “Working with Loss and Bereavement”, led by Margaret Cynker – a meeting that, as always, proved to be one of a kind. Although the structure of the workshop remains constant, its content is created primarily by the people participating, bringing their stories, experiences and readiness to meet what is difficult.
Working with loss and bereavement – Margaret Cynker writes about it this way after the workshop:
“Another 3rd edition of the workshop is behind us, as usual, different from the previous ones. As usual, because this workshop is co-created by participants and attendees, bringing their personal experiences. This time there were 15 of us women wishing to expand our resources to work on the topic of loss and bereavement. We leaned into the different types of loss and the emotions and reactions they can evoke, we expanded our ability to containerize the most difficult in ourselves…. helplessness, despair, suffering.
It was an experience of both what frightens us and what we are ready for – making the encounter with what seems impossible to accommodate more real. The safe atmosphere co-created by the openness of the participants allowed us to become more present to the pain of loss.”
✨ Why it’s important
Working with loss and bereavement requires special tenderness, readiness, and the ability to be there for what is most difficult – both in oneself and in another person. This workshop creates a space to experience this in a safe, grounded and supportive way. It is also an opportunity to expand one’s own resources as a person who accompanies others through grief processes – professionally and personally.
