  1. Foundations and sources of professional ethics
  • Codes of ethics: overview of the most important guidelines (PTPG, EAGT, EAP, PTP, PTPSP) and their hierarchy with respect to Polish law.
  • The rights of the client person versus the duties of the psychotherapist_x: the principle of acting for the benefit of the client person, professional responsibility, professional integrity and honesty, the principle of justice, respect for human rights.
  • Supervision as a fuse: the ethical obligation to subject work to constant scrutiny.

 

  1. Professional secrecy and its limits
  • Absolute confidentiality: what does secrecy cover and how to talk about it in the first session?
  • Critical situations: when the law imposes an obligation to break confidentiality (danger to life, health, crimes against minors).
