Neurodiversity in therapeutic work – a gestalt workshop with Aleksandra Nowak-Gruca. From diagnosis to encounter – the phenomenology of ADHD in terms of Gestalt therapy. The workshop will focus on the phenomenology of ADHD from a humanistic-experiential therapy perspective.
- WE WILL DEAL WITH HOW A PERSON WITH ADHD ENTERS THE WORLD OF THE NEUROTYPICAL AND HOW THIS WORLD RESPONDS TO HIM OR HER
- We will be in a field where the brain grasps everything and sometimes nothing. Where chaos meets hyperfocus. And we’ll wonder how to find a figure in it.
- We will study the symptoms in terms of possibilities and limitations, and maybe we can get to the root of the suffering.
- We will talk about diagnosis, the formal one and the phenomenological one. ️
- We will look at the breaks in the Zinker cycle and how Self theory fits here.
- We will also address trauma. We will explore together if and how it affects the formation of ADHD symptoms. Is it a source or a consequence, and how can this be addressed in therapy.
